About Alyssa's Law

Alyssa's Law is named after Alyssa Alhadeff, a 14-year-old victim of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida, on February 14, 2018.

The law requires public schools to install silent panic alarms that directly notify law enforcement in case of an emergency, reducing response time when every second counts.

Currently, Alyssa's Law has been passed in 11 states and is pending in 18 others, with advocacy efforts continuing nationwide.
